One-time financial assistance was provided to fire-affected IDP families by the order of the President of Azerbaijan.

On November 29, fire occurred in unfinished building at 49 Elshan Suleymanov Street,Nizami district, Baku. Based on the instructions of the President of Azerbaijan Republic Ilham Aliyev, and the relevant order of the Cabinet of Ministers, one-time financial assistance was provided to the family of Babashov Akbar Hagverdi, IPD from Fuzuli region whose 4 family members were killed in the tragedy. Deputy Chairman of State Committee on Deals of Refugees and IDPs Garay Farhadov presented one-time financial assistance allocated by the government on 16 December to Babashov Akbar Hagverdi. Garay Farhadov said in an interview with him that he deeply grieved over the tragic incident. During the meeting Garay Farhadov said that the settlement of problems of refugees and IDPs was always in the spotlight of the President of Azerbaijan Republic Ilham Aliyev. He also stated that since the area where IDPs settled and fire occurred was purchased by one of the private companies, currently negotiations are being held with the company by Nizami district executive power. Garay Farhadov expressed his confidence that, as a result of the successful and decisive policy pursued by President Ilham Aliyev, our lands would be liberated, refugees and IDPs would return to their homes soon. On the same day, appropriate household stuffs were presented to the family of Babashov Akbar Hagverdi by one of the humanitarian organizations "Youth Aid" Fund the activities of which were associated with the Republican Commission on International Humanitarian Aid. IDP from Fuzuli region Babashov Akbar Hagverdi expressed his gratitude to the President of Azerbaijan for the steps taken to overcome difficulties arising from the incident.
