On March 11, on the eve of Novruz holiday, 11 settlements in Bilasuvar region where the IDPs from Jabrail region have been settled were supplied with natural gas for the first time. Deputy Prime Minister, Chairman of the State Committee on Deals of Refugees and IDPs Ali Hasanov, the President of SOCAR Rovnag Abdullayev, Director-General of “Azerigaz” Production Union Akbar Hajiyev, Head of Jabrail region Executive Power Kamal Hasanov and public members attended the event which was held on this occasion. It was noted that, in general, carrying and local gas lines were installed with polyethylene and metal pipes in the length of 200 thousand 555 meters with different diameters based on one-stage system in order to supply these settlements having 4456 subscribers with natural gas. Counters and independent controllers were installed for each of the subscribers separately. Making a speech in the event, Deputy Prime Minister, Chairman of the State Committee on Deals of Refugees and IDPs Ali Hasanov conveyed greetings from the President Ilham Aliyev to the IDPs from Jabrail region. Emphasizing that National Leader Heydar Aliyev have always gave much attention to the problems of refugees and IDPs in our country and tent camps in Bilasuvar region were liquidated mainly by his Decrees and Orders and the IDPs populated there have been settled in newly built settlements, Ali Hasanov remembered the visit of the National Leader Heydar Aliyev to the tent camps in Bilasuvar region in 1998 and his participation in the wedding party of 4 young IDP people in Bilasuvar region in 1999 with gratitude. Ali Hasanov mentioned that the President Ilham Aliyev successfully continuing the policy of the National Leader also pays special attention and care for refugees and IDPs. The Chairman of the State Committee emphasized: “The President of the Republic firstly held the first meeting with IDPs from Jabrail region just in this place on the eve of presidential elections on October 1, 2003. At that time, the President Ilham Aliyev stated in his speech that one day Jabrail region would be liberated and we would meet you in Jabrail, God willing. Now those days are coming and we will meet you in the liberated areas together with the President Ilham Aliyev”. Deputy Prime Minister said: “Today attention and care to the refugees and IDPs are in the spotlight of the government, too. The First Vice-President Mehriban Aliyeva devoted her first meeting on March 9 to this problem. In her speech Mehriban Aliyeva stated that the problem of refugees and IDPs is the main problem of the country. I assure you that Armenia-Azerbaijan, Nagorno Karabakh conflict will be ended as a result of the policy pursued by the President Ilham Aliyev and we will return back to those lands together with you. The Order signed by the President Ilham Aliyev on January 24 of this year “On the events related to the restoration of liberated Jojug Marjanli village of Jabrail region” spread all over the world” Ali Hasanov also emphasized that Haziyevs family who has been living for 23 years in Jojug Marjanli village liberated in successful Horadiz operation of our armed forces led by the National Leader Heydar Aliyev in 1994 is a model of the devotion of Azerbaijanis all over the world to the land, homeland and the country. The Chairman of the State Committee also highlighted that as a result of the successful policy pursued by the President Ilham Aliyev, Armenian fascist, criminal President has already knelt down and became isolated from the world. Even his defenders stopped to support him. Deputy Prime Minister thanked to those who have contributed to supply the settlements in Bilasuvar region where IDPs have been settled with natural gas in a short period by the order of the President Ilham Aliyev. Making a speech after that, the President of SOCAR Rovnag Abdullayev congratulated the residents of village on the occasion of the important event, talked about the measures taken to reconstruct natural gas supply system everywhere in the country in recent years and to supply the villages and settlements with natural gas. He noted that the aim of rapid provision with natural gas of residential areas which were not supplied with natural gas is to further improve welfare of our people. Stating that the President Ilham Aliyev always pays attention to the implementation of the program of provision of the country with natural gas, the President of SOCAR emphasized that the work done in this area will be continued hereinafter. The IDPs from Jabrail region Sakina Guliyeva and Hidayat Safarli made a speech and expressed their gratitude to the President of Azerbaijan Republic for the attention and care provided to them. They stated that they are glad for the appointment of Mehriban Aliyeva as the First Vice-President. At the same time the head of Jabrail District Executive Power Kamal Hasanov expressed his gratitude to the President of Azerbaijan Republic on behalf of people from Jabrail region for the attention ant care to the IDPs. After that a torch symbolizing the supply of natural gas to the settlements was ignited and natural gas supply to one of the houses nearby was reviewed.
