Turkish journalists visited Jojug Marjanli village
The heads of a group of well-known media organizations and representatives of journalism organizations of Turkey invited to Azerbaijan by the Member of National Assembly, Head of Public Union of Eurasian Institute of International Studies Ganira Pashayeva visited liberated Jojug Marjanli village of Jabrail region with the support of the State Committee on Deals of Refugees and IDPs on March 19. Visit by the delegation headed by Chairman of Antalya Journalists Association, Akdeniz Journalists Federation (AJF) and deputy Director General of Turkish Journalists Confederation Movlud Yeni to Azerbaijan was organized under the project “Fraternal relations between Azerbaijan-Turkey interpreted by journalists”. Deputy Chairman of the State Committee Fuad Huseynov, Head of Jabrail region Executive Power Kamal Hasanov, members of National Assembly Ganira Pashayeva and Astan Shahverdiyev informed the delegation visiting Jojug Marjanli village about the atrocities committed by Armenians in the occupied lands, demining operations and construction works conducted in the area in accordance with the Order of the President of Azerbaijan Republic on restoration of Jojug Marjanli village. It was informed that in the first phase construction of 50 private houses, school buildings and infrastructure will be implemented in Jojug Marjanli completely destroyed by occupant Armenian army. And in the next phase, it is planned to construct and restore 150 houses and other infrastructure. After that, the delegation visited the house of Ogtay Haziyev who has been living under fire in Jojug Marjanli for 24 years. During the meeting with family members, 80-year-old Minara Hakiyeva said that they have never left their homes even for a moment. Head of Jabrail Region Executive Power Kamal Hasanov stated that Ogtay Haziyev’s family showed the world that our people stay loyal to their native lands. Observing construction and landscaping works implemented in the village Turkish guests expressed hope for the solution of the conflict.
